Opinions on 'Alexander' are mixed, with some appreciating its attempt to stay close to historical facts and its grand battle scenes, while others criticize the film for its uneven pacing and Colin Farrell's portrayal of Alexander as whiny and unimpressive. The film's technical aspects, like the use of color filters, and the handling of Alexander's relationship with Hephaestion are noted, but overall, the movie struggles with its length and fails to fully captivate.
👍 Subtle treatment of Alexander's personal relationships
👎 Potentially disappointing portrayal of Alexander
