A dropout from upper-class America picks up work along the way on oil rigs when his life isn't spent in a squalid succession of bars, motels, and other points of interest.
🎬 "Cinq Pièces faciles" de Bob Rafelson, est souvent considéré comme l’un des chefs-d’œuvre du "Nouvel Hollywood". Le film capture le désenchantement post-révolution sexuelle et post-contreculture des années 70, où les idéaux s’effondrent, laissant la place à une introspection amère. Jack Nicholson, dans l’un de ses premiers rôles majeurs, incarne avec brio un anti-héros aliéné, instable, ni vraiment ouvrier ni vraiment bourgeois, incapable de s'engager émotionnellement. Bob Rafelson et Jack Nicholson étaient très proches, cofondateurs de la société de production BBS Productions. Ce film était une déclaration d’intention pour eux, faire un cinéma personnel, existentiel, en rupture avec les studios. L’interprétation de Nicholson est magistrale, et la sobriété du film n’enlève rien à sa puissance émotionnelle. Un film à la beauté mélancolique, toujours aussi actuel dans sa vision d’un homme qui ne trouve pas sa place. 🎬 🎬 🎬
