Community Reviews

Opinions on 'Gueules Noires' are mixed, with viewers appreciating its unique setting in the mines and its homage to Lovecraftian horror, yet many criticize the film for its underdeveloped characters and unconvincing monster. The initial setup intrigues with a blend of historical and horror elements, but the film's impact dwindles with the early and disappointing reveal of the CGI monster. Despite these flaws, the film is noted for its attempt to blend social commentary with genre elements.

👍 Unique Lovecraftian horror in a mining setting

👎 Monster's CGI and early reveal diminish suspense
