À l'inverse des autres films X-Men, moins d'actions, moins de pouvoir de l'amitié, plus introspectif sur les personnages, leur vie et leur mort. Surtout Xavier et Logan évidemment, suite hypante qui ouvre une nouvelle vague de X-Men.
