Gros délire très Coréen, qui casse les normes du genre de film de monstres. Yellow agent en référence au Orange agent du vietnam - L’Agent Yellow incarne la critique de Bong Joon-ho envers l’impérialisme, la bureaucratie et la destruction environnementale. C’est une métaphore des remèdes pires que le mal, un thème récurrent dans son œuvre. Bong Joon-ho est un spécialiste du seosapagi: un terme coréen qui peut être traduit par "rupture narrative" ou "destruction du récit", l’art de démolir un récit prévisible pour en construire un nouveau, imprévu et souvent plus complexe — une spécialité de Bong Joon-ho La "destruction narrative" (서사파기) est ce qui fait passer l’histoire d’une simple attaque de créature à une réflexion sur l’humanité.
Loufoque à souhait, Bong Joon Ho dans toute sa splendeur. Plongée dans son univers et dans la Corée populaire. On rit, on ne s’ennuie pas une seconde. On se demande parfois ce qu’on fait là, ou plutôt ce que ce film fait là, mais c’est ça qu’on aime chez ce réalisateur non ?
4,5 : c'était OK-. Pas spécialement convaincue par le monstre, même si la critique écologique derrière a le mérite d'exister ; l'humour un peu décalé ne l'a pas trop fait non plus. Manquait un peu d'horreur... La créature m'a plus fait de la peine que peur j'avoue. Le jeu d'acteurs est OK aussi, même si les personnages ne sont pas plus profonds que ça.
