Reviews and Comments
2 reviewsI was quite impressed by Johnny's ability to portray such a serious and grounded character, despite the fact that he usually plays more eccentric characters. The plot keeps you choked with the constant tension of wondering what connection there is between the book's unique volumes or why their collectors were dying. I also liked the mystical air brought by the girl who ended up running into Dean everywhere. It's not made very clear what she was exactly, but I don't think she was a mere human. Finally, the final touch is the burning of Balkan along with the castle due to his fanaticism, how the mysterious girl later consummates the ritual by making love with Dean, and he ends up collecting all the engravements, opening the door to hell.
