Viewers are captivated by François Ozon's adaptation of Camus' 'The Stranger', particularly praising its faithful rendition and the striking black and white cinematography that enhances the atmospheric depth of 1930s Algeria. Benjamin Voisin's portrayal of Meursault is consistently highlighted for its nuanced depth, embodying the character's chilling detachment. While the film's slow pace and minimal dialogue are seen as a thoughtful reflection of the novel's themes, some found these aspects made the film drag, occasionally feeling too lengthy or monotonous.

Formidable Zéro faute Casting Rythme Décor Complètement envoûtant
Certains seront frileux face aux longueurs de ce film : le noir et blanc, plans peu dynamiques presque traînants, silences... etc Je trouve au contraire que c'était un choix nécessaire pour rester fidèle au ton du livre, c'est un sacrifice face aux conventions et je craignais qu'il ne soit pas fait. Des petites et grandes citations ont été plutôt habilement glissées ici et là dans les (rares) dialogues , une scène de colère réussie, des personnages fidèles au roman c'est donc un film globalement bon 😮💨 Après y a évidement des passages et des interprétations que j'ai moins aimés (dont la scène du meurtre malheureusement) mais ça reste ok Les acteurs étaient top mention spéciale à marie Force à tout ceux qui devront le regarder pour le français 🫡
Joli noir et blanc, très fidèle au roman. Inégal entre les deux parties du film
J’ai adoré ce film. Les décors sont absolument sublimes et le choix du noir et blanc en renforce encore la beauté, donnant à chaque plan une force visuelle rare. Le personnage de Meursault est brillamment incarné par Benjamin Voisin, qui capture avec justesse toute sa complexité et sa distance émotionnelle. Le film peut sembler long, mais pour moi cette lenteur est parfaitement assumée, elle laisse le temps aux détails visuels de s’exprimer, d’installer l’atmosphère et de traduire tout ce que les dialogues ne disent pas. Une adaptation silencieuse mais puissante.
Belle image mais on a du mal à rentrer dans le film...
