“Gambling as a metaphor for how risky it was living your truth as a queer person in that era is an interesting idea » « Absolutely in love with the characters and storyline from the first moment. It's not the quantity of conversations but the emotion and meaning behind what is being said and what isn't. The unspoken parts are being conveyed in stolen glances and longing smiles. It's not for everyone but those that know what it's like to meet a kindred spirit, someone that irrevocably changes your perception of the world and yourself, those that recognize that kind of connection, attraction and hearts desire for another soul and know what if feels like to lose it might resonate with it. It's about the realization that once you've truly experienced something that awakens a deep hidden, suppressed part of you, there's no going back to the way things were. Such a connection is not just simply romantic in a traditional sense but rather a shared understanding of eachother's "otherness" and the profound impact of their respective experiences. Both were fundamentally changed by a connection and experience that others don't comprehend that irrevocably altered their lives. Jacob Elordi is a force of such gentle yet undeniably powerful nature that it makes sense for anyone and everyone: that is lucky enough to be attuned to such energy to be drawn into his orbit. He's breathtaking and Daisy Edgar Jones is equally captivating. Both stole my heart.”
