Résumé
Caitlyn est assistante de la rédactrice en chef d'un grand magazine de mode et aspire à s'établir en tant que créatrice de mode. Son monde est chamboulé lorsque le prince Jeffrey et son amie Lady Isabelle arrivent en ville pour donner un grand bal de charité pour le Nouvel an. C'est à ce bal que Jeffrey devrait faire sa demande en mariage à Isabelle. Celle-ci demande à Caitlyn de lui confectionner une robe de bal, ce qui pourrait lancer sa carrière. Mais Abigail Miller, sa patronne, souhaite que Lady Isabelle porte une création de sa fille, Leighton, et fait tout pour que Caitlyn n'aie pas le temps de finir la robe à temps, en lui confiant notamment tous les préparatifs pour le bal. Caitlyn passe beaucoup de temps avec le prince Jeffrey et ils tombent amoureux l'un de l'autre. Mais le prince doit bientôt accéder au trône et doit choisir entre le cœur et la raison, qui voudrait qu'il respecte la tradition et épouse Lady Isabelle.
