The day after a emotional breakdown from being afraid of motherhood and bringing a child into this world where you can suffer so much ( in my experience) 14/02 I was not particularly in a good mood cause I was tired as always in the morning. I had my appointment with an ophthalmologist and It took all morning. I had to spend a lot of time outside waiting for my grocery order . I wanted to use drive pedestrian for grocery shopping but I could do it later on the afternoon so I decided to wait downtown. So I went to the cinema. I watch “Mother and Son” In the late 1980s, Rose moves from the Ivory Coast to the Paris suburbs with her two young sons, Ernest and Jean. Spanning 20 years from their arrival in France to the present day, the film is the moving chronicle of the construction and deconstruction of a family. I was really sensitive about this movie I couldn’t hold my tears and confirms my anxious thoughts about how difficult it is to have kids or just leave in this life. Suffering and more, when you cannot express it. I cried so much because it touched me so deeply. The mother loved her boys but nevertheless they suffer. It killed my moral. I was afraid about my potential future, about my present, my past . I Burst into tears. The movie spoke to my soul, it felt so true about my fears. I felt so sad and anxious. The feeling stayed the whole evening.
Un film assez touchant et réaliste qui montre un quotidien d’une mère célibataire et de ses deux fils..
