Mouai.
This show is the worst Marvel show I’ve ever seen. The only way I can describe this show is that it thinks the audience is dumb. Horrible story writing, metaphors that are so in your face that it’s obnoxious, Sluggish story progression, and terrible characters. Riri doesn’t act smart in this entire show. She thinks Tony Stark wouldn’t be Iron-Man if he wasn’t a billionaire, which undermines the very foundation of the Iron-Man character. She has no empathy, letting people die just to avoid getting caught for being in a crime group purely for money. She never solves anything with her engineering, the only thing that gave her the upper hand in the finale was magic, which she was randomly gifted by a random witch we meet two episodes ago. She also couldn’t even put two and two together, figuring out that Natalie was the exact memory of who she thought Natalie was. She has meaningless panic attacks which, to me, seems forced just to compare her and Tony Stark in Iron-Man 3. She learns nothing, she stays the same character the entire show. Now let’s talk about Natalie. I did not care for this character. Sure, the backstory can be intriguing. Losing a sibling figure is hard and, if Marvel executed this perfectly, it would’ve made me emotional and connect me to Riri and Natalie. But Natalie is annoying, unhelpful, and uncharismatic. She actively gets in the way of Riri, causing her to fail. Overall, all she’s ever been in this show was an obstacle and an obnoxious image of Riri’s late sister/cousin, who Riri KNOWS IS AN AI, yet cares about her just as much as she did with the real Natalie. Red Hood was cool, I liked the actor he did well. His powers were alright, nothing crazy. Didn’t care much for his invisibility or weird fire bullets, and the final fight scene he kinda looked like Morbius, but overall he was a good character. Charismatic and hot too, so that helped. I also liked Joe/Zeke Stane. It was a cool reveal he was the son for Obadiah Stane, but towards the end I did not like his character. He randomly gained this hatred for Riri, even though what Riri did was a mistake and treated him with kindness. Also his powers are new, but still kinda boring to watch. Electricity is cool, but they should’ve had him fight in another Iron-Man suit, just like his dad. I liked him at the beginning, when he was Joe, not Zeke Stane. The finale was lackluster, I liked Ironhearts suit visually, it popped with red and was nice, but why did it have to use magic?? It detracts from the cool clunky Iron-Man suits people love, and it’s just a bore in terms of powers. Ironheart literally used a Magic move once, and that’s it. They should’ve discarded the idea to incorporate magic into the suit. The hologram move thing in the finale was cool, it was a great fakeout and I always love a good action scene using Illusions to trick the villain. Mephisto was ok. Admittedly, I was spoiled of his appearance in the show, but still knowing that he was in it, I liked his part. Sacha Baron Cohen is amazing as Mephisto, sly and funny and intimidating and dark. I would’ve rather had Mephisto appear in other series that was better and more important, but I’m happy with his inclusion here. And finally, the ending. It’s the final nail in the coffins for Riri as a character. She never experiences that ‘heroic’ or ‘brave’ moment where she realizes what she’s doing is wrong and bests the villain. She never comes to terms with Natalie’s death and accepts a deal with the devil in order to get her back, which is such an awful message to send to the people watching the show. Riri is a despicable, horrible hero, and they butchered her character so bad in this show. I feel like I have so much more to say and to nitpick, but the most important stuff I’ve already said. What a horrible Marvel show.
C'était pas si mal finalement même si il avait des trucs qui avaient pas de sens des fois.
