Summary
Trois femmes, trois destins liés. Deux soeurs peules musulmanes, Ramla et Hindou, sont contraintes d'épouser, pour l'une, le riche Alhadji Issa, et pour l'autre, le cousin de cet homme. Safira, la première épouse d'Alhadji, se méfie de l'arrivée de Ramla dans son foyer. Un roman polyphonique sur la condition des femmes au Sahel.
