At first really enjoyable and a great evocation of Marseille’s underworld. But, as with many crime thrillers, I found it difficult to follow the plot and characters.

****spoilers****

And I found the ending really annoying. Most of his friends are dead or on the run but somehow he’s fine because the woman he loves who seemingly didn’t show much interest in him before magically comes back just at the end. A very me gaze.
