Summary
Eden and Josh decide to give their relationship another chance in this much anticipated sequel to the New York Times bestseller The Way I Used to Be that “highlights with painful honesty the process of moving forward following trauma” (Kirkus Reviews). Eden and Josh never had a fair shot at a healthy relationship. When they dated in high school, they each had their own problems getting in the way of the deep connection they felt toward one another. Unbeknownst to Josh, Eden was carrying the burden of a devastating sexual assault, while Josh was dealing with his own private struggle of having an alcoholic father. 6 avisSPOILER 🚨 Éden a enfin fini par tout expliquer à la police et Kevin a été arrêté. Elle remet Petit à Petit sa vie en ordre, mais cela n’est pas toujours facile. Alors qu’elle est en couple avec Steve, lors de sa première sortie nocturne dans une petite boîte pour un concert, elle va faire une crise de panique et sortir. Elle tombera alors sur Josh, rentrer pour les vacances. Ils vont recommencer à se parler et à se voir de plus en plus Éden quittera Steve car elle ne ressentait rien du tout pour lui. Elle est acceptée dans la même fac que Josh . Elle emménage dans un immeuble avec un appartement juste au-dessus du sien et ils finissent par se mettre en couple. Le procès de Kevin se prépare petit à petit : d’abord avec une audience préliminaire, puis avec l’audience. Finale à la fin Jo chez Éden, plus amoureux, que jamais, finiront par se séparer pendant un moment. Ils vont chacun de leur côté travailler pour aller mieux et, à la fin du procès, Éden se sentira, enfin prête à être avec lui pour de vrai.
