First published in 1876, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is one of the most famous teen and young adults' book, narrating the coming-of-age stories of the eponymous character along the Mississippi River in the 1840's. The sequel, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, where the protagonist and the supporting character swap places, enjoyed equivalent success.
