8 reviewsHard scifi novel that covers how an alien civilization learned of Earth's existence and has charted a course to come and invade. Speaks about how some humans have become disillusioned by society and wish for their own purge. There is some hard-to-grasp science in here as well to explain how things are happening. Only knocks I had was the inelegant writing (prose is not good and comes off stiff/awkward) and the VR game was really odd at first and can be a bit tiresome to read until it is revealed what the game represents.
