Fotografiska is a renowned centre for contemporary photography located in the Södermalm district of Stockholm, Sweden. Founded by the Broman brothers in 2010, it has become a cultural hub, attracting over 500,000 visitors annually. The centre is housed in a former customs house, an Art Nouveau building dating from 1906, designed by Ferdinand Boberg and listed as a cultural interest site. The space includes exhibit areas, a bistro, café, bar, conference rooms, a museum shop, gallery, and event spaces, providing a comprehensive experience for visitors. Fotografiska has hosted exhibitions from notable photographers such as Annie Leibovitz, Gus Van Sant, and Robert Mapplethorpe. In 2021, it merged with NeueHouse and is now operated by Yoram Roth and Josh Wyatt under CultureWorks. Fotografiska also has locations in Tallinn, Estonia, and New York, USA, with a Berlin location set to open in 2023.
