Ce film m'a fait pleurer. Inspiré de faits réels, ce film d'investigation journalistique est passionnant, complexe, intelligent et utile que nécessaire. Cette enquête révèle au grand jour que de nombreux prêtres abusaient d'enfants, d’abus cachés depuis longtemps par l'Eglise catholique. Le thème de la pédophilie au sein de l'Eglise est un sujet très difficile à mettre en scène, et à exploiter convenablement. Cependant, Tom McCarthy réalise une œuvre intense et fascinante à suivre. L'enquête que mènent les journalistes du Boston Globe, est parfaitement construite. Cette histoire je l’espère a le pouvoir de réveiller les consciences et de faire bouger les choses. Mais le fond du film est très classique, j'aurais sans doute préféré quelque chose d'un peu plus « choc » afin de marquer davantage les esprits.
