Un très beau film qui dégage beaucoup d'émotion. Il s'agit de jouer une œuvre inédite sur des stradivarius : 2 violons, un alto et un violoncelle avec 4 musiciens célèbres qui doivent apprendre à jouer ensemble en l'espace d'une semaine sous la direction de l'auteur du concerto plus trop sûr de la qualité de son œuvre qu'il a écrite il y a 30 ans pour le père d'Astrid qui avait pour objectif de réunir les 4 stradivarius. Son projet n'ayant pu être réalisé, c'est Astrid, sa fille, qui le réalise en son hommage. Un seul enregistrement. Un moment qui se doit unique.
Synopsis
Astrid Thompson finally succeeds in fulfilling her father's dream: to bring together four Stradivarius for a unique concert, eagerly expected by music lovers around the world. But Lise, George, Peter and Apolline, the four virtuosos recruited for the occasion, are incapable of playing together. The rehearsals are one ego crisis after another. With no solution in sight, Astrid decides to go and find the only person who, in her eyes, can still save the event: Charlie Beaumont, the composer of the score.
