Los Angeles, 1928. When single mother Christine Collins leaves for work, her son vanishes without a trace. Five months later, the police reunite mother and son. But when Christine suspects that the boy returned to her isn't her child, her quest for truth exposes a world of corruption.

Within the time of the child disappearance another child is found and is stated to be her son while some evidence claims that it is her son, she herself believes he is not and close contacts of the child also State the same. A mother who has lost something how far can she go to make known that what's in front of her is not hers but yet someone else's and why can't anyone else help to find what she is missing instead of already assuming it has been found?
