On suit l’histoire d’un garçon orphelin de mère qui débarque dans une nouvelle ville avec son père ayant refait sa vie. Là, dans ce manoir familial, entouré d’un étang et d’une forêt, le garçon fera la connaissance d’un étrange Héron… qui parle… et visitera une ruine d’où sortent de mystérieux pélicans et perruches… 2 dimensions communiquent à travers ce portail, et des créatures et personnages basculent d’un univers à l’autre, tandis que les temporalités diffèrent.
Synopsis
While the Second World War rages, the teenage Mahito, haunted by his mother's tragic death, is relocated from Tokyo to the serene rural home of his new stepmother Natsuko, a woman who bears a striking resemblance to the boy's mother. As he tries to adjust, this strange new world grows even stranger following the appearance of a persistent gray heron, who perplexes and bedevils Mahito, dubbing him the "long-awaited one."

Vu avec Coco et Maxime, Beau film as always, par contre l'histoire est vraiment perchée et on se perd vite. Rythme du film assez bof.

pour un Ghibli je suis assez déçue mais les musiques sont magiques comme les autres films
