Film noir comme il est bien indiqué, dur et lent mais qui tient quand même en haleine par ses rebondissements. Cependant un peu long je trouve dans le milieu même si ce n'est pas inintéressant. La fin est horrible, on découvre le visage horrible de Jimmy et de sa femme. L'injustice est triste à voir et on se rend compte de l'importance de la scène du début sur la suite de la vie de ces 3 hommes liés jusqu'au bout. On voit surtout l'impact que ça a eu sur Dave qui en aura souffert toute sa vie et qui, quelque part, finira par le tuer.
