Opinions on Luc Besson's 'Dracula' are mixed, with many praising its visual aesthetics and the emotional depth brought by Caleb Landry Jones as Dracula. The film's romantic and gothic elements are highlighted, creating a powerful atmosphere that resonates with viewers. However, criticisms include some over-the-top acting and a lack of originality in some scenes, which detracts from the overall experience. 13 reviewsVery visually aesthetic. I am not sure if it was rather an obsession than a love the Dracula had for his dead wife for 400 years yearning and searching for her. But I was also relieved by the scene when he turned to ash and the ash blew up above the sunny sky appearing like he was on the way to heaven finally forgiven by god because he proves his true love not letting his wife remained vampire but killing himself to save her. It's just that I found it funny when the Dracula was old and wrinkled like a dried plum, he looked like the Sith Lord from the Star Wars with Padme’s hair style.
Based on the novel Bram Stoker.
Note Jean : 3 Note Morgane : 5
