Audiences generally enjoyed 'TRON: Ares' for its stunning visuals, immersive IMAX 3D experience, and a soundtrack that complements the high-energy action and adventure. Jared Leto's performance was notably praised, adding a charismatic touch to the film. However, opinions were mixed regarding the plot, with some finding it predictable and clichéd, yet entertaining enough for a visual spectacle. The film was appreciated for its nostalgic elements and was considered a fun watch, despite some criticisms of its depth and character development.

13 reviewsMaybe this might be recency bias, but this is honestly the best of the 3 Tron movies. The visuals were awesome. I really enjoyed Jared Leto‘s performance, and It had so much fan service, so this movie was a lot of fun for me. The opening was awesome: visualizing how news outlets and videos on the internet are showing what has happened from Tron: Legacy to now in a cool trippy way. The main character was cool, I liked having a female lead and it didn’t feel forced or anything. Jared Leto was pretty sweet in this film, his monotone voice and delivery really fits well with Are’s character so his performance really came through. I expected a bit more from Evan Peters in this film, and I didn’t really care much of Eve’s friends at ENCOM but that’s a bit nitpicky. They served their purpose and didn’t make the film worse. The music was on point, I was a bit skeptical since it was NIN but they really delivered and the music was sweet. The action scenes had intense awesome music and the emotional slower scenes had unique melancholic melodies. The scene were Ares gets transported into the 1st Tron grid was awesome. It looked ripped straight from the 1982 movie and I really enjoyed that. They even used the janky VFX like the classic light cycles and the flickery grey skin, it was awesome to see. Overall, best Tron movie I’ve seen and I simply had a lot of fun watching this film. 8/10
