Opinions on 'The Long Walk' are mixed, with many viewers finding the film emotionally powerful and appreciating the strong performances and intense themes. However, others felt the adaptation lacked depth and failed to fully explore the psychological and societal critiques present in the original book. The film's portrayal of relentless competition and its brutal consequences resonated with some, but the predictability and lack of subtlety in handling the subject matter left others wanting more.

Haunting. No one actually wins the Long Walk because no one escapes from the trauma of losing your friends. I thought that everyone disappearing in the end symbolized that Pete was killed soon after killing the Major. But it could also symbolize that he lost the ability to see the light in life. His friend Ray ultimately tricks him into winning and that loss was enough to enact the violence he originally convinced Ray to abandon. Forever changed.
j’ai bcp aimé, le film a du sens malgré son apparence simple
