Quelle révélation du duo B. Poelvoorde/I. Carré après le décevant Entre ses mains (2005). Un film gourmand — étonnamment salué par les critiques — qui séduit par la modestie et la tendresse de son scénario et de sa photographie. Cela faisait longtemps qu’un film ne m’avait autant touché par sa simplicité ; on oublie le cérébral pour applaudir une efficacité qui parle au cœur 👏 Le dernier plan des mariés (porté par la musique Big Jet Plane) achève l’équilibre d’une belle réalisation cinématographique. NB : un film rentable 🤑, +1M d’entrées et une nomination Meilleure Actrice pour I. Carré aux Césars 2011.
Synopsis
What happens when a man and a woman share a common passion? They fall in love. And this is what happens to Jean-René, the boss of a small chocolate factory, and Angélique, a gifted chocolate maker he has just hired. What occurs when a highly emotional man meets a highly emotional woman? They fall in love, and this is what occurs to Jean-René and Angélique who share the same handicap. But being pathologically timid does not make things easy for them. So whether they will manage to get together, join their solitudes and live happily ever after is a guessing matter.
