Films américains primé. Ça n'a pas beaucoup d'intérêt, c'est un drame intime dans une petite ville des États-Unis. C'est bien joué mais l'histoire est déjà vu. La construction du film est un peu artificiel pour créer un faux suspens : pendant les 50 premières minutes du film on suit le personnages principal qui a l'air déprimé sans savoir quelle est la cause, plus tard révélé dans le film. Si l'histoire avait été faite dans l'ordre ça aurait eu encore moins d'intérêts parce-que on veut comprendre mais c'est un peu fabriqué comme intérêt je trouve. Je pense que ça a été primé parce-que c'est rare de voir un film américain, intimiste, dans une petite ville dans le cinéma américain. Mais bon c'est du niveau de n'importe quel drame britannique ou film français.
Synopsis
After his older brother passes away, Lee Chandler is forced to return home to care for his 16-year-old nephew. There he is compelled to deal with a tragic past that separated him from his family and the community where he was born and raised.
