Un des meilleurs films de l'année sans hésiter. Tout est prodigieux. Les acteurs sont juste époustouflants (en particulier Benjamin Voisin qui joue admirablement bien son rôle). La photographie est magnifique (le noir et blanc sied très bien au film). Le scénario est incroyablement bien écrit avec des répliques d'une profondeur sans faille. Le film nous interroge sur des sujets très intéressants comme : La société de l'homme complique-t-elle la vie de l'homme lui-même ? Au travers du personnage principal, le film passe par plusieurs sujets comme la mort, le temps qui passe, la vieillesse... Et tout ça avec un personnage inexpressif, froid qui se retrouve étranger de la société dans laquelle il vit de par la complexité de celle-ci. Et il n'en fallait pas moins pour en faire un chef-d'œuvre du cinéma français.
Synopsis
Algiers, 1938. Meursault, a quiet and unassuming employee in his early thirties, attends his mother's funeral without shedding a tear. The next day, he begins a casual affair with Marie, a work colleague. He quickly slips back into his usual routine. However, his daily life is soon about to be disrupted by his neighbor, Raymond Sintès, who draws Meursault into his shady dealings. Until one blisteringly hot day, a tragic event occurs on a beach...
