Un biopic original qui sort des sentiers battus. En choisissant d’aborder les circonstances qui ont préludé à l’écriture de Nebraska, le réalisateur nous livre un portrait intime de Springsteen.Le film alterne de façon pertinente des séquences en noir et blanc liées à l’enfance difficile du chanteur avec des séquences en couleur retraçant son état dépressif ainsi que sa difficulté à trouver un sens à sa vie après le succès obtenu.
