Viewers generally praise 'Scream' for its clever blend of horror and self-aware humor, appreciating its fresh take on the slasher genre. The iconic Ghostface killer and the suspenseful, twist-filled plot keep audiences engaged, while the film's ability to poke fun at horror clichés is a highlight. However, some find certain character reactions unrealistic and the ending overly convoluted, feeling it stretches believability.
👍 Revitalizes the slasher genre with smart, self-referential humor.
👎 Ending may feel overly complex and unrealistic to some.

No one tell me that Stu and Billy aren’t gay. They are. I love it. Not really scary kinda comfort movie. Kinda funny
An amazing horror movie, compared to A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th, this was way better. I really enjoyed how a lot of the jokes in this movie were irony and self-awareness of other horror movies of its time. References to Psycho or A Nightmare on Elm Street and movies like that were really cool, and kept the audience on their feet since this film was so unpredictable. I went into this film, knowing that Billy and Stu were the two killers, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. The main character was relatable and did everything a normal same person would do in real life if they were put in that same situation. There was never a point in this film where I thought the main character did a stupid uncharacteristic action, which was refreshing. Really well made horror film and it makes me excited to watch the other Scream sequels. 8/10
