Great acting of Keanu Reeves. The story line is fine. It’s just a bit too stressful with the background music throughout the movie. Loved the way they depicted the new luxury place Kevin and his wife’s moved in as hell- lights they turned on in the room at night of the party when Kevin came back was red and was arguing with his wife.

J’ai adoré
Très chelou, et un peu trop long à démarrer. Ça se regarde plutôt bien, mais une fois pas plus.
Kevin Lomax est un jeune avocat aussi doué que brillant, qui s'enorgueillit de n'avoir jamais perdu une seule affaire. Un jour, il est recruté à prix d'or par un puissant cabinet new-yorkais qui défend des criminels odieux. Il devient vite le protégé du patron, John Milton, un homme énigmatique. Peu à peu, Lomax se laisse entièrement absorber par son travail et la personnalité fascinante de Milton. Je l’avais vu il y a plusieurs année et j’avais trouvé cela long. 20 ans plus je le trouve intéressant mais tjs un peu long. Le film est efficace, bien interprété, l’histoire intéressante. La fin est très étrange, sa femme se tranche la gorge sous les yeux de son mari. Après un aveu fait avec peine par sa mère, Kevin part trouver Milton qui lui avoue avoir violé son épouse et être son propre père. Kevin tire sur Milton mais les balles n'ont aucun effet et Kevin se rend compte que Milton est Satan en personne. Milton tente longuement de convaincre Kevin de concevoir un enfant, l'Antéchrist, avec sa demi-sœur Christabella (Connie Nielsen). Kevin feint être sur le point d'accepter avant de se tirer une balle dans la tête ; Christabella et Milton sont brûlés. Kevin est alors comme tiré d'un rêve tandis qu'il est de retour dans les toilettes du tribunal de Floride, pendant une interruption du procès de Getty. Lorsque l'audience reprend, Kevin annonce qu'il ne souhaite plus représenter son client. Larry, un journaliste local, demande ensuite à Kevin une interview qui fera de lui une vedette. Kevin, encouragé par Mary Ann, accepte. Après leur départ, Larry prend l'apparence de Milton et déclare que la vanité est son péché préféré.
