Clairement, l'un des plus grands films de guerre de tous les temps. Les acteurs sont tous fantastiques, les décors sont magnifiques. L'éclairage est parfait. Le film ne comporte aucune longueur malgré ses 3h. Certains plans sont extraordinaires. Les scènes cultes s'enchaînent (comme l'arrivée des hélicoptères). L'exploration de la folie humaine et des conséquences de la guerre sur l'homme est très bien mené et cela dès la scène d'intro qui est incroyable. Marlon Brando, malgré son peu de temps à l'écran, trouve là un de ses rôles les plus passionnants. Le meilleur Coppola que j'ai vu à ce jour.
Synopsis
At the height of the Vietnam war, Captain Benjamin Willard is sent on a dangerous mission that, officially, "does not exist, nor will it ever exist." His goal is to locate - and eliminate - a mysterious Green Beret Colonel named Walter Kurtz, who has been leading his personal army on illegal guerrilla missions into enemy territory.
