Synopsis
After a bizarre encounter at a party with a stranger, a jazz saxophonist is framed for the murder of his wife and sent to prison, where he inexplicably morphs into a young mechanic, gets released, and begins leading a new life.

Après avoir reçu d'étranges cassettes, le saxophoniste Fred Madison est soupçonné du meurtre de sa femme Renée. En prison, le jeune mécanicien Pete Dayton se substitue à Fred. Libéré, il rencontre Alice Wakefield qui ressemble étrangement à Renée.
Un chef d'oeuvre. Le son, l'image, l histoire . Le sujet de la fuite en avant de la réalité est parfaitement maîtrisée avec des codes Lynchiens. La sensualité,Le rêve, les phrases énigmatiques, les personnages....
Énorme claque
Très très très complexe à comprendre. On s’imagine le préambule de la vie d’un homme, c’est en fait le dédoublement de sa personnalité et toutes les voix qui s’y trouvent.
