Viewers generally enjoyed 'The Hating Game' for its engaging blend of rivalry and romance, praising the chemistry between Lucy Hale and Austin Stowell. The film's portrayal of the classic 'enemies to lovers' trope resonated well, offering both humor and heartwarming moments. While some found the plot predictable and occasionally cringe-worthy, the overall reception highlights a comfortable, enjoyable watch with standout performances.
