Surprenant... Plus facile à suivre que le précédent bien qu'impossible à conseiller à qui que ce soit. Faux film de SF, faux film documentaire, radical. Foutraque, à déconseiller à certaines âmes sensibles même si le noir et blanc permet de tout atténuer (le crade comme le gore). Pas certain d'y avoir compris grand chose, mais il a quelque chose d'hypnotique. C'est quand même du vrai cinéma. Un enchaînement de plans séquences. L'impression que la Russie Stalinienne c'était comme le Moyen-âge. Et le Moyen-âge, c'était vraiment dégueulasse.
Synopsis
A group of scientists is sent to the planet Arkanar to help the local civilization, which is in the Medieval phase of its own history, to find the right path to progress. Their task is a difficult one: they cannot interfere violently and in no case can they kill. The scientist Rumata tries to save the local intellectuals from their punishment and cannot avoid taking a position.
