Viewers are captivated by 'Alien's' blend of horror and sci-fi, praising its suspenseful atmosphere and the iconic, terrifying xenomorph. Sigourney Weaver's portrayal of Ripley is consistently highlighted as a standout, embodying a strong, compelling female lead. The film's use of minimalistic effects and the ability to suggest rather than show terror contributes to its enduring appeal. However, some find the pacing slow and the special effects dated, though these are minor compared to the overall appreciation of the film's craft.
👍 Sigourney Weaver's performance and the xenomorph's design are highly praised.

Really great movie, the practical effects were amazing, I loved how the xenomorph and chest bursting scene looked practically, it’s great. I wish they delved deeper into the story behind “Mother”, the ai system in the ship. Also Ash being a robot was a great brutal surprise and I didn’t think the Aliens franchise would have robot people. Overall, a solid movie, doesn’t necessarily hold up to some other movies I’ve watched, but lots of cool moments and characters, and it was pleasant to watch.
