Synopsis
Two babies are switched at birth. When the mistake is discovered 12 years later, it leads to complications in the lives of both families. One family is affluent, with dutiful and (apparently) contented children. The other family is poor, with rambunctious (even delinquent) children, often hungry, but with lots of laughter in the house.
Community Reviews
Opinions on 'La vie est un long fleuve tranquille' are mixed, with some viewers appreciating its humorous and iconic portrayal of class differences, while others criticize it for its stereotypes and lack of depth. The film's satirical take on societal norms and family dynamics resonates with some, but its execution, including unclear character development and an unsatisfying ending, leaves others wanting more. Overall, it's seen as a classic with memorable moments, yet not without its flaws.
