Community Reviews
The Children of the Resistance has garnered mixed reactions. Viewers appreciate the emotional depth and the portrayal of children's bravery during the German occupation, with standout performances by veteran actors like Gérard Jugnot. However, criticisms focus on the sometimes poor acting of the child actors and a perceived oversimplification of the historical context, making the film feel idealized and more suitable for younger audiences. Despite these flaws, the film's touching narrative and scenic village settings have been praised.
👍 Emotionally impactful with standout veteran performances.
👎 Child actors' performances and historical oversimplification may disappoint.
