Viewers are captivated by 'No Other Choice,' praising its stunning visuals, masterful direction, and powerful performances, especially by Lee Byung-Hun. The film's blend of dark humor and intense themes resonates, though some find the humor surprising given the grim subject matter. The music and cinematography are consistently highlighted as exceptional. However, the film's length and pacing are criticized, with some feeling that excessive duration dilutes its impact.

This was awesome. This film introduces me to Park Chan-Wook, and wow this was crazy. Admittedly, this Film made me confused at times. Nevertheless, I thought it was amazing and overall was a strong impactful movie. Performances are awesome, this is Lee Byung-Hun’s best performance, he’s such a charming relatable dude and I loved rooting for him. Cinematography and editing was elite, I actually recoiled at some of the shot compositions or transitions. They were so good and deserve best editing and best cinematography of this year. This film was also super funny, lots of different gags and funny moments that made me chuckle, which was surprising considering this film is also super dark and gross at times. I wish I could understand more of the overall message and some of the more complex scenes, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this. Seeing the main character shift into what he ends up being at the end was so cool and I’ll definitely have to rewatch this again to get some more of the nuanced or missed bits. 9/10
