On retrouve l’ambiance de Atonement avec son esthétique très agréable, une belle image et de costumes travaillés. Plans séquences où la caméra se balade dans le décors, les regards sont importants et mis en valeur. Keira Knightley joue super bien, l’histoire est super interessante. Tout est très codifié à l’extrême, est ce que c’était vraiment comme ça à l’époque ? Peu importe, la conséquence est que tout est très contenu, retenu, ça ne laisse pas vraiment place à l’émotion, on aimerait que ça aille plus loin, qu’un personnage casse les codes pour vraiment s’exprimer avec vérité, jubilation , tout est fermé, barrièré par ça, ça peut devenir un peu irrespirable à certains moments. On les sent même gêné par leurs propres codes. Le film reste magnifique, et l’histoire d’amour très belle.
Synopsis
A story of love and life among the landed English gentry during the Georgian era. Mr. Bennet is a gentleman living in Hertfordshire with his overbearing wife and five daughters, but if he dies their house will be inherited by a distant cousin whom they have never met, so the family's future happiness and security is dependent on the daughters making good marriages.

I honestly did not want to see it cause I thought it would be boring but god I LOVED IT. Would absolutely rewatch it just for the hand scene
