Histoire qui porte principalement sur rocket, comment il a été créé, toutes les tortures qu’il a enduré, la famille qu’il a perdu. Les gardiens sont au courant de son histoire au cours de la recherche d’une puce qui peut le sauver car son cœur est protéger par un code. Les gardiens font face à son créateur (maitre de l’univers) qui envoie ses troupes pour récupérer son prototype qui a le mieux fonctionner, son but est de lui enlever son cerveau pour le travailler. Les gardiens parviennent à récupérer la clé, parviennent à sauver rocket, parviennent également à sauver une nouvelle civilisation d’enfant (même s’il laisse détruire la contre terre). Rocket devient là capitaine des gardiens, Peter est retourné sur terre avec son grand père.
Synopsis
Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
