J’avais vu ce film étant petite et j’ai été heureuse de le redécouvrir une fois adulte. J’ai été étonnée de voir toutes les références féministes pour un film Disney des années 2000-2010. Les personnages sont attachants, et nous assistons à une véritable parodie Disney fait par Disney. Nous suivons le personnage de Giselle, jeune toute désignée pour devenir la princesse classique de Disney, qui juste après sa rencontre avec le prince de ses rêves, se fait téléporter par la méchante reine dans New York, très loin de ses contes de fées. Elle y fait la rencontre de Robert, père célibataire d’une petite fille adorable. Ce film est très kitch et bourré de clichés détournés, il est parfait pour passer un bon moment, sans se prendre la tête.
Synopsis
The beautiful princess Giselle is banished by an evil queen from her magical, musical animated land and finds herself in the gritty reality of the streets of modern-day Manhattan. Shocked by this strange new environment that doesn't operate on a "happily ever after" basis, Giselle is now adrift in a chaotic world badly in need of enchantment. But when Giselle begins to fall in love with a charmingly flawed divorce lawyer who has come to her aid - even though she is already promised to a perfect fairy tale prince back home - she has to wonder: Can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?
