Un grand film de par son sujet, sa mise en scène et son action. Scorcese n'en finit pas de raconter l'histoire de la construction de l'Amérique du XXème siècle par la violence. Ici on assiste à la spoliation par le meurtre de la fortune des indiens Osage par les américains blancs grâce à des mariages arrangés. Tout ce cynisme s'incarne dans le rôle de Robert De Niro, magistral, et toute la bêtise dans celui de Leonardo DiCaprio, méconnaissable et parfait comme d'habitude. Quant au rôle féminin principal, l'actrice indienne est magnifique de classe et d'aura. Le film qui dure 3h30 aurait peut-être gagné à être raccourci mais je ne me suis jamais ennuyé.

Synopsis
