Spect.Viewers find 'On the Adamant' a deeply touching and humane portrayal of mental illness, set in a unique floating day-care center on the Seine. The documentary, celebrated for its empathetic and poetic approach, blurs the lines between caregivers and patients, offering a fresh perspective on psychiatric care. While it resonates with many for its heartfelt and respectful depiction of its subjects, some viewers find its pace slow and its style somewhat unstructured, which might not appeal to everyone.

Synopsis
The Adamant is a unique day-care centre. A floating structure located on the Seine in the heart of Paris, it welcomes adults suffering from mental disorders, offering the kind of care that grounds them in time and space and helps them to recover or keep up their spirits. The team running it tries to resist the deterioration and dehumanisation of psychiatry as best as they can.
