Vraiment un très bon film, de facture classique, excellemment joué (Daniel Day Lewis! Mais aussi Michelle Pfeiffer). L’ambiance de l’époque est parfaitement restituée, les costumes sont magnifiques. Martin Scorsese montre une autre facette de ses talents de réalisateur. A voir !
Synopsis
A tale of nineteenth-century New York high society in which a young lawyer falls in love with a woman separated from her husband, while he is engaged to the woman's cousin.
