Spect.Viewers are deeply moved by 'Frantz', praising its poignant exploration of grief and reconciliation post-WWI. The film's black-and-white cinematography is consistently highlighted for adding a layer of historical and emotional depth. Performances by Pierre Niney and Paula Beer are particularly lauded for their authenticity and emotional impact. The narrative's blend of mystery and romance, along with its aesthetic choices, crafts a compelling, if occasionally predictable, cinematic experience.
