C’est un film de science-fiction profondément intime, qui lie l’humanité au cosmique, l’être humain au vivant, l’universel au personnel avec une puissance d’évocation fantastique. C’est un peu rêche, pour ne pas dire aride mais c’est un voyage qui nous emmène dans un océan d’émotions et de questions philosophiques. Terrasant de beauté.
Synopsis
A psychologist is sent to a space station orbiting a planet called Solaris to investigate the death of a doctor and the mental problems of cosmonauts on the station. He soon discovers that the water on the planet is a type of brain which brings out repressed memories and obsessions.
