Le livre est bien plus sympa que le film !! On suit Kya 10 ans, qui apprend à vivre toute seule dans le marais suite à l’abandon de sa mère et de ses frères et sœurs. Ses aventures avec son pères alcoolique et violent, ses histoire d’amour avec Chase le Big de Barkcley Cove, et Tate le vrai gentil mais surtout son intérêt pour la faune et la flore du marais et ses dessins qui vont la sortir de ce merdier … jusqu’à la mort de Chase qui fait tout basculer
Synopsis
Abandoned by her family, Kya raises herself all alone in the marshes outside of her small town. When her former boyfriend is found dead, Kya is instantly branded by the local townspeople and law enforcement as the prime suspect for his murder.
