"Celà fait vraiment longtemps que je n'avais pas trouvé un film d'horreur qui m'intrigue autant et me tienne du début à la fin! Peter est un enfant solitaire sujet au harcèlement de ses camarades, et n'a que ses parents strictes comme attaches. Mais la nuit il entend des bruits provenant du mur de sa chambre, et ses parents semblent bien déterminés à chasser ce qui selon eux sont de simples cauchemars d'enfants... On a le coeur serré tout le long du film pour ce petit Peter qui porte ce mystère sur ces épaules, et qui doit pour cela se confronter à ses parents. L'atmosphère est vite pesante et glauque, on a du mal à anticiper ce qui se cache derrière ce secret familial bien sombre. Le tout se déroulant à la période d'halloween permet d'être plongé dans un contexte horrifique. Je suis quelque peu déçue du dénouement, mais dans l'ensemble ce film est une véritable petite pépite en cette période automnale. "
Synopsis
Eight year old Peter is plagued by a mysterious, constant tapping from inside his bedroom wall—one that his parents insist is all in his imagination. As Peter's fear intensifies, he believes that his parents could be hiding a terrible, dangerous secret and questions their trustworthiness.

How did she survive in the walls without any resources? Why would they put their son in the basement knowing their daughter was in there at any point? Who killed the trick or treater? If they hid their daughter in the wall and assumed she died, why wouldn’t they just dispose of the child’s body within that same space? Why would the school immediately assume the kid was violently pushed down the stairs? It would be much more likely Peter would’ve just insisted it was an accident and in elementary school it’s not very likely he would’ve immediately expelled this child. ESPECIALLY if the substitute teacher showed the principal his drawing. If this child was born with deformities it would also be very unlikely it wouldn’t need extra medical care which would’ve made it much harder to hide the child in a pit in the basement. Rat poison takes more than 45 seconds to kill you.
