Viewers are enchanted by 'The Princess and the Frog,' praising its return to traditional 2D animation and the vibrant depiction of New Orleans, which adds a magical touch to the film. The characters, especially Tiana, are celebrated for their depth and relatability, breaking away from typical princess tropes with her ambition and perseverance. The soundtrack, filled with jazz influences, is frequently highlighted as a high point. However, some felt the villain was underused, and the plot occasionally cluttered.
👍 Revival of 2D animation and rich cultural setting.
👎 Underdeveloped villain and some plot congestion.

It's one of my favorite Disney movie, notably because of the atmosphere and the musics. The character of Tiana is incredible and show how the world was (is) hard and unfair for women, and here notably for black women. I love the fact that the Love Story is not so much at the center of the movie, there is a kinda political dynamic which is really interesting. I would love to have a movie about Dr.Facilier to understand his motivations.
